Bill McKibben

Bill McKibben is an American environmentalist and writer who frequently writes about global warming, alternative energy, and the risks associated with human genetic engineering. Beginning in the summer of 2006, he led the organization of the largest demonstrations against global warming in American history called "Step it Up."
Bill's first book, The End of Nature published in 1989, is regarded as the first book on global warming for the general public. Bill has since published numerous books on climate change and climate change activism, and currently heads up 350.org, a global initiative to stabilize atmospheric CO2 at 350ppm.
