Civic groups ranging from Boys and Girls Clubs, to human rights organizations, from hunting and fishing groups to folks fighting for clean air, and from Mayors' offices to Rotary Clubs, are all invited to play a critical role as educators in Focus the Nation.

To get involved, form an organizing team, and SIGN UP to host an event. The simplest way to participate will be to join with civic organizations across the country in screening the 2% SOLUTION This interactive, special production will feature Stanford Professor Stephen Schneider, green jobs pioneer Van Jones, and business consultant Hunter Lovins, and will be available free of charge on Earth Day Network TV. The webcast will be ideal for sparking small group discussion, and help your group participate in the national citizen vote on global warming solutions CHOOSE YOUR FUTURE. A webcast screening is also the ideal opportunity to plan for follow-up discussions with elected officials during the President’s Day Congressional recess in Mid-February.

In addition, civic organizations can host global warming speakers, or share their expertise at other Focus the Nation events. Learn more about available educational RESOURCES.

Finally, reach out to your community. Encourage other civic groups to join with you in your efforts, or to hold Focus the Nation events of their own. Focus the Nation will only be successful if we truly involve the entire nation in this historic conversation about the future.
