Des Moines: Momentum Is Building Conference

Iowa's electric cooperatives and the Iowa Energy Center  will sponsor the annual “Momentum Is Building” conference February 12-13, 2009, at the Sheraton West Des Moines hotel.

Momentum Is Building offers up-to-date building science information, practical hands-on information and new technology displays for building trades professionals – including homebuilders, electricians and heating-plumbing contractors. Rural electric cooperative personnel from across the state also attend.

Nationally-recognized speakers will share their knowledge on topics including high-performance homes, National Electrical Code, new-technology heat pumps, green homebuilding and Energy Star® homes and appliances. Momentum Is Building also includes a trade show so attendees can see and ask questions about new products. Support for the conference is comes from Iowa’s rural electric cooperatives and a grant from the Iowa Energy Center.
