Form an organizing committee to meet regularly. The committee can be comprised of faculty, students, and staff.
Set your Focus the Nation goals:
— What do you want your event to look like?
— How many faculty do you want to participate in the panel discussions?
— How many students do you want to attend?
— What kind of press coverage do you want to generate?
— What decision makers do you want to invite? How are you going to invite them?
— How can you collaborate with neighboring institutions?
Call or email us at Focus the Nation ORGANIZERS HQ to tell us what you have planned. Post your ideas on the ORGANIZER FORUM.
Reserve rooms for the viewing of the 2% SOLUTION WEB CAST on January 30th at 8pm EST, and for the teach-in and GREEN DEMOCRACY round table throughout the day on January 31st.

Invite faculty to participate in the TEACH-IN on January 31st, 2008.
Talk to your PR or communications director about your involvement with Focus the Nation to develop a media plan. The more media coverage, local or national, the better.
Reach out to other campuses and organizations in your community and encourage them to sign up and to collaborate. Check out our MAP to see who else in your area is signed up.
